On November 26 and 27, the long-awaited competition “Student Autumn 2025” was held at Vinnytsia National Technical University. The student community of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Transport presented to the audience their stage vision of the story of the legendary Ukrainian strongman, known as Ivan Sila. This is not just a retelling of sports achievements, but a deep study of the topic that unites even the strongest people in the world – the power of love.
The play skillfully focuses on a key aspect of the protagonist’s life, which is often overshadowed by his athletic fame. The student actors managed to convey not only the physical strength, but also the inner vulnerability of Ivan, whose indomitability was formed not only by training, but also by the support, faith and tenderness of his chosen one.
It is impossible to talk about the success of this performance without noting the coordinated teamwork of the student team. The circus arena, even in the format of a student stage, requires perfect synchronicity, and the young actors coped with this task brilliantly.
Student productions are often limited in resources. The use of minimalistic sets allowed the audience to focus on the internal struggle and dialogues. The costumes and musical accompaniment skillfully conveyed the atmosphere of the era and the drama of the events, emphasizing the contrast between the brilliance of the arena and the personal experiences of the characters.
This performance is a vivid demonstration that the strength of student theater lies not only in the talent of individual performers, but also in the ability to create a powerful, vibrant, dynamic show through joint efforts.
The student performance of the first-year students of FMT “Ivan Sila” with the theme of the power of love was a successful attempt not only to recreate the well-known plot, but also to raise it to the level of universal drama. It reminds us that behind every great victory, behind every record-holder, there is an invisible but invincible force – the force of one who believes and loves.
