Rector of VNTU, Professor Viktor Viktorovych BILICHENKO, solemnly congratulated the teachers of the Department of Physical Education, Vira and Vasyl OVCHARUKI, on their successful performance at the European Masters Athletics Championship, which was held on the picturesque island of Madeira (Portugal) and brought together more than 4,000 participating athletes from 40 European and 14 other countries of the world.
The competition took place from October 8 to 19, 2025 at 7 sports locations and became a real challenge for the organizers and participants of the competition.
Vira OVCHARUK won 2nd place in the half marathon (21097.5 m) and a bronze medal in the 10 km road race in the individual competition. Also, as part of a team consisting of 3 athletes from each country, our girls took 2nd (half marathon) and 3rd (10 km) places, respectively.
The participation of Vinnytsia National Technical University teachers in the European Masters Athletics Championship was a bright event that once again proved that great achievements are born where there is support, faith, and a common goal.
